St Patrick's School and Parish Feast Day celebrate mass together.

Many thanks to those who attended the school mass on March the 17th. It was so lovely to see so many school families there, to celebrate our school and parish patron, St Patrick and to come together to mourn and prayer for those tragically caught up in the events of Christchurch.

We also congratulate our new five years olds who received their bibles, kindly donated by the PTFA. Our Special Character Leaders - Isabella, Hannah, Samuel and Sydney and our Young Vinnies Leaders - Harrison, Julian and Lucy - were presented to the parish and received their badges. Congratulations to you all.

St Patrick's Y4-6 Mini Vinnies

Congratulations to our school's Y4-6 Mini Vinnies who raised $436.38 for the Parish Community Lunches by selling ice creams during the Senior/Middle School Athletics Day. A big thank you to the adult helpers. Those who attend the Community Lunch every Tuesday were very thankful for their generosity.

Message from Bishop Steve regarding the attacks in Christchurch

The tragic attacks from Christchurch have shocked the nation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those who were injured and killed,
for their families and for the Muslim community in Christchurch.

A sad reality of many of the Muslim community in New Zealand is that they came here escaping violence and war.
Now that violence and wanton disregard of human life has followed them here.
In this time of tragedy we turn to the love and mercy of the one God we hold in common.
We pray eternal peace upon those who have died.
We pray for the consolation of God's peace on their families.
We pray healing for those wounded.
We pray for conversion of heart on those who harbour racial hate in their hearts and minds.
We pray for peace for our nation and peace for our world.

Bishop Steve Lowe
